Opening of the exhibition “Landscape: archive of memory”

Josepa Gomis, Catalan by birth and with a career that has crossed borders —recently exhibited in Cambridge, England—, invites us to enter an inner landscape where memories become pictorial matter.
Her works are emotional archives. Traces of lived, imagined or lost spaces, which melt into a layer of colors, textures and absences. In this journey, the landscape is not only contemplated: it is remembered, reinterpreted, mourned and celebrated.
“Landscape: archive of memory” is an invitation to look within, to hear the voices of time, to find ourselves —perhaps— in some of the forms that Josepa has left suspended on the canvas.
